Group run
There is a local brewing company that hosts a run every week. Some of my friends go, but I've never checked it out because 1: I don't drink and 2: it takes place on Thursday which is my busiest and most stressful day at work so I am usually beat and don't feel like hanging out with anyone that day.
Tonight, though, I got home and Marc was gone on a bike ride, so I decided to check it out.
The dogs were excited about this unexpected weeknight adventure.
When we arrived I was hanging out in front but was told the boys were welcome in the brewery.
The dogs were thrilled that several people came to meet them.
We then headed out on the run. I hung back and tried to convince Booker that he truly did not need to be in first place. Shortly into the run, I heard dogs going ballistic. So I wasn't surprised when I soon saw a guy up ahead on the side of the path holding back 2 large dogs that were going absolutely nuts. I nervously slowed down, but both Booker and Sisko calmly ran by while watching them closely.
We continued at a good pace and followed the pack back to the brewery.
We hung out front, chatting with people and catching our breath after a faster than normal pace.
Then they called everyone over for a picture. The people that were regulars dutifully lined up with some squatting down so everyone could get in the picture.
Sisko saw this and assumed the guy next to us was squatting to let him and barreled into him, almost knocking him - and his beer - to the ground. I was embarrassed but the guys was fine with it and cuddled him as Sisko wiggled with delight.
It was a good time and with all the dog lovers we might go again.
