A return to the water

Oh kayak, how I've missed you!   It was chilly but sunny, and I couldn't wait any longer! First step, installing my new sticker... Then we had a great paddle to the beach and went for a hike. The boys are beat!

Building the miles

Last year Booker ran the Lake Monster race with me.  I'm not sure if he'll be running with me this year.  The weather could literally be incredibly cold or blazing hot.  If it's too warm I'll be solo.  But in the meantime we're getting in the training.

I say gross, but they say YUM

I, or I should say the boys, were offered a some smoked chicken feet to try. I'm always looking for natural and healthy treats to give them, especially ones that don't cost an arm and a leg.  When these came, I'll admit I was a little more than grossed out.   I expected them to stink badly, but there was only a slight smell.  Well, to me anyway, but the dogs could sure smell them and couldn't wait!  They didn't last very long, but they enjoyed them! Chicken feet do contain chondroitin and other vitamins good for teeth, bones, joints and skin - an added benefit that a lot of treats don't offer.
