A late Xmas gift

 For Xmas, the boys received, as one of their gifts, a beef knuckle.  While it is super healthy treat - great for teeth and jaws as well as natural beef - I know from experience it's also SUPER messy.  The meat flakes off and lands everywhere.

So those knuckles were hidden until we could be outside, hanging out and letting them have at it.  

Today I needed to rototill the garden.  After a short morning run and running some errands it was time for me to get to work.  I brought the knuckles out, still in Xmas wrapping.

They both could smell that it was something for them and I unwrapped them.  They immediately dug in. 

All afternoon they chewed and played with their bones.

Every time I had to go from the garden to the shed or garage, they followed with a safe grip on their bones.

By the time I was ready to head inside, they had each stripped most of the meat off, but the bones themselves are barely dented.  

They are both crashed out but no doubt will be right back at them tomorrow.  4 months past Xmas but they found it worth the wait!
