He's home
I left first thing this morning to go pick up Marc at the hospital and bring him home.
I knew the dogs were going to be both very excited when they saw him and I was extremely nervous about them jumping up on him and injuring him. So before he came into the house I went in and put their collars on and leashed them both.
As expected they were both incredibly excited just to see him let alone when they could smell him and know that he was back and that he smelled different.
It took some time with me holding them firmly with the leashes to make sure that they didn't jump - especially Booker! Obviously he's the young boy who's so full of it! But once they were in a common frame of mind they were able to sniff him and ask him to pet them without being overly rambunctious.
Tonight they've just been going over multiple times to check on him smell him and I think just being happy that he's back home. They have been gentle and subdued either because it's still blazing hot out or because they know they need to be calm - not sure which!
