And yet again we don't deserve dogs

As I've mentioned, the dogs are allowed to sleep with us.  During the winter Sisko would crawl up next to me while I was watching TV before going to sleep, but would get too warm and get down onto his dog bed.

Booker would sleep next to me or at my feet most of the night.

Now that it's gotten warmer, Sisko doesn't get up at onto our bed at all.  Booker might get up for a while or not.  He prefers to curl up in a ball with a part of his back touching me.

Last night it was warm and neither got up.  This was actually fine with me because I didn't feel well.  Booker and I had a great run yesterday morning, but I started feeling off throughout the afternoon and in the evening I had chills and was planted in front of a space heater.

I woke up this morning at 5 AM and had to pee.  I was chilled and shaking.  I felt feverish and popped some ibuprofen and crawled back into bed.  I lay there shaking so badly and my teeth were chattering.  Booker watched me from his bed.  He then climbed up next to me and I swear seemed to be contemplating the situation.

He then slowly lowered himself half on to me and stretched out as long as he could along my back.  It was obvious to me he was trying to keep me warm.  Marc got up and placed a space heater next to me.

After a short period of time, I was still shaking but Booker was softly panting.  But he refused to leave.

I finally fell asleep after the ibuprofen kicked in.  When I woke up Booker had gotten down and was back sleeping on his bed.
