Adventures are few and far between

 Wow, guys!  Adventures have been few and far between lately!  I mean we are just trapped in winter and it has resulted in a lot of frustration and boredom.

I have been getting out when I can.  Last weekend we managed to get in a few miles and then Wednesday I had off and even though the roads were slippery we went on a quick jaunt.

Today we were able to get in some "excitement".  Unfortunately for us, we need to have our roof replaced.  But the dogs were thrilled when the contractor came to look at the roof to give us an estimate and he was a dog lover which meant lots of scratches by a stranger - what could be better?

Then we took our longest run in a while.  That meant a new route with two roads that Booker hadn't ever run and Sisko hadn't run in a long time.  So there were new people who were out shoveling their driveways, unfamiliar sights and the sounds of new dogs barking.  So not only did they get some physical exercise, but mental exercise as well.

 

Then we went home to get some food and warm up.  

We had to run some errands and stopped at Runnings.  This is one of their favorite stores to go into as the employees all seem to be dog lovers and were thrilled to see them.  That meant more attention from strangers and, best of all, TREATS.  

They were very well behaved and sat nicely for the young employee who appeared to be a little nervous around them but wanted to hand out some treats.

We are now about to watch a movie and they are out like lights!!
